consultancy services in Gauteng, Limpopo and Mpumalanga Provinces and also neighbouring provinces.
The Mission of is to empower, enable and equip (including disadvantaged rural) people to improve and
sustain their quality of life: environmentally, materially, physically, spiritually, socially and intellectually.

- Motivate people and assist them to embrace sustainable development through local CBO, NGO’s and
cooperatives

Our specialist area of focus is Education, Training and Development, and including Social Impact
Assessment (both Socio-economic and Socio-Ecological Impact Assessment) as well as general
development and management.
The imperativeness to increase skills development and to improve productivity and the competitiveness
of conomic sectors, enhance social development and eradicate poverty in our society necessitates establishment of education, training and development providers with programmes and services that will
respond to the transformative goals of the country. The company’s aim is to bridge the existing gaps in
knowledge, skills and competency levels of ETD practitioners and learners as well as to create career paths
for them where applicable with the variety of learning programmes and qualifications that are linked to
National Qualifications Framework.
Materials:
• Outcomes-based methodologies and facilitation skills are used throughout the learning programme
• Case studies, role plays and other relevant outcomes-based exercises are designed and included to
ensure the integration of practical, foundational and reflexive competence.
• Learners are awarded the opportunity for and advise in terms of clarification of concepts in their
specific language of preference. All facilitators are able to communicate in the preferred local
languages spoken per region.
• Learning programmes form part of a system of human resources development, which provides for the
establishment of a unifying approach to education and training.
• Our learning programmes and services remain responsive to national development needs
• Provide ease of entry to appropriate levels of education and training for prospective learners in a
manner that facilitates progression.
• Provides for learners, on successful completion of accredited pre-requisites to move between
components of the delivery system.
• Ensure that the acquisition of credits permit individuals to move through the levels of national
qualifications via different appropriate combinations of the components of the delivery system
• Enable learners to transfer their credits or qualifications from one learning institution and/or employer
to another.
ToDef has secured and continues to seek meaningful partnerships with the government, industry, communities, mining houses, nongovernmental organisations, developers, engineering firms and other institutions.
ToDef is a wholly black owned by three Directors with equal shares and managed Social facilitation firm
representing a vibrant mix of youth, energy, experience and diversity in skills. The company is driven by
desire for meaningful empowerment through harnessing of entrepreneurial synergies accompanied by the
transfer of skills and expertise.
ToDef individual staff members have extensive knowledge and experience in learning programme
design, facilitation and project co-ordination. They’ve also participated in various structures in curriculum
development, including ECD and community based organisation helping local cooperative to develop their
strategy and programme and also in training.
Some of the experiences include:
Intensive training and implementation of the innovative methodology on the EPWP project in North West
Province, Gauteng Province and Limpopo Province. The implementation has involved training support to
community members in the informal settlement community of Bokfontein 200 community participants (2008)
and Meriteng 350 participants (2009) and Muyexe Rural community 186 community participants (2011) to
build the capacity of community members to upgrade their settlements and skills development.
Enhancing community participation in informal settlement upgrading by providing intensive long term
support to specific communities including site selection processes, relationship building, capacity building,
training, social facilitation support, monitoring and evaluation, dissemination of lessons learned.
